Bucking the usual structure a little this week, Screen 1 dedicates its middle-stretch to addressing the worrying rumours that Warner Bros. are planning on scaling back on funding for mid-budget, filmmaker-driven projects. Callie and Lucy also only play video game music instead of anything properly film-related, but that’s basically the norm by this point. Elsewhere, the results of the MTV Movie Awards are announced; Lucy is once again shocked by Callie’s dislike of Rush; and there are reviews of Hardcore Henry, Huntsman: Winter’s War, and Jeff Nichols’ magnificent Midnight Special.
