Thanks to bank holidays, studio cock-ups, and Lucy being pre-occupied elsewhere, this instalment of Screen 1 is sent out on a Wednesday and with a returning Peter Calder in the co-host chair. It’s a good thing he’s here, though, cos otherwise the show may have ended up drowning under the amount of films that Callie has to cover. In this super-sized edition, there are (sort of) early reviews of The Nice Guys, Warcraft, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows; and on-time reviews of Alice Through the Looking Glass, Top Cat Begins, and Money Monster. The news, meanwhile, touches on the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard assault allegations.
